Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-15

1. Who we are

FeedZero's operator is identified in our Impressum. References to "we", "us", or "FeedZero" in these Terms refer to that operator.

2. What you get

FeedZero is an RSS reader available in two ways:

FeedZero is also open source under AGPL-3.0-or-later. You may run your own copy on your own infrastructure, in which case these Terms do not apply to that copy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate your subscription for violations.

4. Subscription, billing, and cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) on our behalf. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Stripe Customer Portal (linked from your account settings in the app). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you retain access until then.

5. Refunds

See our refund policy.

6. EU consumer 14-day withdrawal right and waiver

Withdrawal right. EU/EEA consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under Directive 2011/83/EU. This right applies regardless of where the operator is established.

Waiver. For digital subscriptions like FeedZero Personal, the contract is performed immediately on activation (your license is minted and sync becomes available within seconds of payment). When you subscribe, you expressly request immediate provision of the service and acknowledge that, by doing so, your right of withdrawal expires upon completion of that provision (Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

If you do not consent to this waiver, do not start the subscription. Stripe Checkout requires you to tick a Terms-of-Service consent box before payment is taken.

7. Local consumer protection

Consumers retain all rights granted by mandatory provisions of the law of the operator's domicile (identified in the Impressum) and of their own country of residence, where applicable. The governing law does not impose a 14-day mandatory withdrawal right for digital services equivalent to the EU directive, but you can cancel a subscription at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

8. Price changes

We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before a price change takes effect on their renewal. If you do not accept the new price, the subscription ends at the end of the current paid period.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability and make no uptime guarantees. The Free tier runs entirely in your browser and works even if our servers are down (you will not see new feed updates fetched via our proxy until they recover).

10. Data and content

Your data is yours. We process it only to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details, including the parallel application of the FADP and EU GDPR. You are responsible for any feeds and content you choose to subscribe to.

11. Open source disclaimer

The FeedZero source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. Software is provided "as is" without warranty as set out in that license. These Terms apply only to the hosted service operated by us at my.feedzero.app.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, intent, or other liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app's "What's new" feed at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the substantive law of the operator's domicile (identified in our Impressum), excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence still apply. The place of jurisdiction for disputes with consumers is the operator's registered seat, subject to mandatory consumer-venue rules under EU Brussels I bis Regulation 1215/2012 and the Lugano Convention 2007.
